Biography
Professor of Curricula and Methods of Teaching Mathematics (Egyptian, holding Turkish nationality). He served as Professor of Curricula and Methods of Teaching Mathematics at the Faculty of Education, University of Bisha, Saudi Arabia (2014–2018), and Head of the Department of Curricula and Instruction at the same university (2017). Prior to that, he was Professor of Curricula and Methods of Teaching Mathematics at the Faculty of Education, Sohag University, Egypt, from 2007 to 2014. He holds a PhD in Education — specialization in Curricula and Methods of Teaching Mathematics from Sohag University, with a dissertation titled "Using Correspondence Education in Teaching Mathematics within the University Qualification Program for Azhari Primary School Teachers." He also holds a Master's in the same specialization from Sohag University. He teaches mathematics (calculus and algebra) in English, and employs problem-solving, cooperative learning, concept maps, peer teaching, and active learning strategies. He has published nineteen papers in peer-reviewed journals, supervised and examined numerous Master's and PhD theses in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, and participated in or attended sixty-four scientific conferences and research seminars. He has delivered dozens of training courses for mathematics teachers in pre-university education across Egypt and Saudi Arabia since 1994, and took part in a joint World Bank–Egyptian Ministry of Education project to train new mathematics teachers in 1999.
